A
Good Hostel can do wonders to the child
........................................
A
child in a hostel has been found to be more independent,
confident and shoulder responsibilities & take decisions
on their own, thanks to the innovative concepts introduced
by St. Xavier’s college. The
residential hostels have been designed to give comfort,
privacy and safety to the students. Each hostel block
houses 144 or 108 students, cared for by the house master,
two or three house tutors, a ward boy or a matron. The
house master maintains medical, academic and personal
progress records of the wards in his care. Each hostel
block has a large cheerful common room where the students
can enjoy their hours of leisure.

DISCIPLINE
In
aiming to furnish the environment so necessary for the guided
growth of a child, the School places great importance in
maintaining a smooth ordered system through meaningful descipline.
Since discipline is imposed in the best interest of the
child - and therefore the parent - all parents are expected
to read and sign the School Regulations Sheet upon admitting
their child. This facilitates the smooth functioning of
the School without causing any misunderstandings.
We prepare students for an unpredictable
future, not by training them for particular careers but
by teaching them how to learn. The objective is not to prepare
them for any one profession alone, but to lay the foundation
, which is common to all.
